Data Portal

The data portal provides an access mechanism to distributed products controlled by the NCCS and its user community, such as OSSE, Cloud Libraries, and more.

Data Portal System Details

System Architecture
The data portal hardware consists of an HP blade center with the following components.
  • HP Blade Center C7000
  • 16 HP Proliant DL 145
  • Dual-socket, quad-core Intel Xeon 2.8 GHz Harpertown processors
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Interconnect: Infiniband DDR
In addition to the above, the Data Portal uses the IBM GPFS file system with the following storage.
  • SGI/LSI Infinistor
  • Approximately 150 TB of RAW SATA storage
Operating Environment
  • Operating System: SLES
  • Job Scheduler: None
  • Compilers: C, C++, Fortran
  • Analysis applications include GrADS, IDL, Matlab, Mathematica, phython, and more
