What does 10G connectivity on the Altix and Dirac get us?
Answer:
Two systems hook up to NREN (area between here and Columbia) and the potential speed between the two is 10G.
Q2:
What will the new /nobackup system be like?
Answer:
Rather than going to /nobackup1 or /nobackup2 like the old system, you will now only go to /nobackup.
Q3:
With the soft and hard /nobackup quotas, is all of the space being allocated?
Answer:
Not all of the space is being allocated, so if there is a legitimate need for a larger quota that is a possibility.
